Thilo Goos from Black Box Music on current developments “Nice Expansion” The event service provider Black Box Music (BBM) of Berlin was able to record an enormously positive development over the last few years. To find out what caused this success, we interviewed BBM executive director Mister Thilo Goos. StageReport: BBM has so far focussed on the tour and show business. Will you go on this way? Thilo Goos: Definitely. Tours and shoes will remain at the centre of our activities. So far, the sales share of Corporate Events has been at around 20 per cent. The Clay Paky Sharpy is able to produce a beam that is brighter in the hotspot as devices with higher power consumption because of the special optical lens. The brownish / blue edges of the usual micro Fresnel lenses are eliminated by the used optic. Extremely fast pan / tilt movements are possible because of the compact size and low weight of only 16kg. On September 2nd 2011 ABB and Black Box Music welcomed Dr. Angela Merkel to Pankow Park for the start of the 2011-2012 apprentice-ship year. The one-hour event included a speech by the Federal Chancellor and a music performance by the band “Cucumbers”. After Sade was touring in the U.S. and South America, now definitely one thing falls into place: Sade is the concert sensation of the year. Due to the fantastic reviews and the endless demands, there are three additional dates in Germany as part of the Sade world tour this autumn. They are planned in Mannheim, Leipzig and Dortmund. Black Box Music still accompanied Sade with their tour “The Ultimate Collection” through Europe and Australia. On the weekend of September 15th – 18th, 2011 it once again said “Welcome to ’Berlin Live’“. Berlin is vibrant, diverse, democratic and international. “Berlin Live” is a small festival held in TRAFO, the impressive, concrebe cathedral of the legendary Tresor club. Three bands come together and play alternately. It unites a common idea, reference or period – and their affinity to Berlin.
