Deichkind Tour

DK Berlin 02 DK Berlin 05

„The show can start now and everybody says YEAH!“ No sooner said than done.
And how they did it: after a two-year tour hiatus, Deichkind started their month-long and almost sold out „Niveau Weshalb Warum“ tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland on April 8th, 2015.

Besides the event technology provided by Black Box Music, Deichkind used their Omnipods (sensor – controlled pillars made of aluminum and wood, covered with glossy foil and equipped with LED lamps – developed by Deichkind themselves) on this tour to support the black-and-white show concept that you could see in the costumes, the props and in the lighting.
But it wasn´t all black-and-white – the professional rascals from Hamburg included a trampoline, a giant brain, an inflatable castle, helium balloons and mobility scooters into their stage set and made the audience happy and jumping around despite or even because of their ironic and socio-critical lyrics.
During the two-hour show, Deichkind created a close contact to the audience – they did a polonaise, sailed across the audience with a rubber dinghy and were carried through the crowds in a wooden barrel.
Black Box Music provided the entire sound, lighting and video technology for this tour, as well as the trucking. The preparation phase of the tour also took place at BBM – at rehearsal hall 2.
The following lighting equipment was being used: Robe Robin BMFL Spot, Vari*lite VL3500 wash, Martin Mac Aura, SGM Q-7 W, Upstaging Headlite, Grandma2 System. For video: DLP-projector Panasonic PT-DZ21K. For the sound, the following equipment was being used: L-Acoustics K2, L-Acoustics Kara, Soundcraft Vi6 FOH console, Digidesign Venue Profile MON console.
