Die Toten Hosen and Die Ärzte

The weekend from August 9th to August 11th, 2013 was packed with three great shows on the site of the disused Tempelhof airport in Berlin. „Die Toten Hosen“ started the weekend with their show on Friday, August 9th, followed by two concerts of „Die Ärzte“ on August 10th and 11th. It was the very first time that these two bands were performing at the same venue on consecutive days. On Friday, „Die Toten Hosen“ were performing for about two hours in front of an audience of 50,000 people of all generations. On Saturday and Sunday, around 45,000 people came to see the (self-proclaimed) „best band of the world“: „Die Ärzte“. On both nights of their „Ärztival“, they were playing old and new songs for about two and a half hours. The bands „Kraftklub“ and „Broilers“ were opening for „Die Toten Hosen“ on Friday in Tempelhof. Opening acts for „Die Ärzte“ were the Canadian hard rock blues band „Danko Jones“, the US punk rock band „NOFX“ and the brass band „LaBrassBanda“ from Bavaria
